Foley sounds

 Hi guys! Welcome back! So in today’s blog I will be discussing what foley sounds I created and show a few pictures of the process.

To begin with, I created a foley sound of Caitlyn packing her book bag. In order for me to recreate this sound, I used two pieces of clothing and a book bag to create the sound. I must say creating this foley sound was difficult to time with the clip. Here is a picture of what I used…

The next foley sound I created were footsteps. The footsteps of Caitlyn were created using boots stomping on a hard floor surface. In order to create the footsteps, I used my hands to reenact the steps. Here is a picture of how I made the sound.

The next foley sound was putting on shoes. These scene where Caitlyn was putting on her shoe was created by zipping up a shoe and shaking the shoe. The shaking of the shoe helps replace the sound of putting on a shoe. Here is a picture of the process.

The last foley sound I created was the opening of a door. For the scene when Caitlyn was leaving her room and entering her parents room, I reenacted the same scene, opening the door of a room, however, I used a microphone to heighten the volume of the motion of opening the door. Here is the process.
