Camera Shots Quiz

For the class, we were assigned to complete a quiz following what we have learned about different camera shots and angles.

The instructions of the assignment were to create a story using the different kinds of shots we had learned in class.We were assigned to choose up to 2 inanimate objects to take up to 15 pictures of using one of each shot we were assigned.

For our project, my partner and I decided to use her teddy bear and my water bottle as the main objects of the story. We brainstormed on many ways we can develop a storyline using a small teddy bear and a water bottle. We thought of the bear climbing up a very tall tower and having to come back down a more challenging way and we also had an idea of the teddy bear having a scary encounter with a tall water bottle causing the teddy bear to run away with fear. We decided to choose the teddy bear running away from the water bottle because we thought it would create a great suspenseful story. We decided that this event took place on the teddy’s bear walk back home, down the street. Before we started to take pictures, we were suggested to take notes before taking the pictures. We began to brainstorm and take  notes on what kind of shot, what kind of angle, and what event will happen in each photo.

I believe that my partner and I did very well on the different angles utilized in each photo. We moved surrounding objects to create a more dramatic and large scene. Although we did very well on the different angle shots, I believe he should’ve improved on the storyline. The storyline we created was too vague but very well structured.
